Loose Lips Sync Ships

a podcast for shippers of shows

A podcast hosted by Raquel Hinson and Krystal Pearson, covering relationships from all of your favorite 90's and 2000's television shows and movies.

Ships From Hell (featuring Stacy Motsinger)

In a one-off episode between ships, Raquel and Krystal are joined by Krystal's other podcast partner from the Two of a Kind podcast, Stacy. The ladies discuss the incest and twincest relationships from popular TV shows and movies over the last few decades. Also, Krystal is at peak laid back status but swears she didn't take any prescriptions prior to recording.

The O.C. S4 E8: The Earth Girls Are Easy

In our 24th episode, we discuss how it was ever possible that we shipped anyone with Seth Cohen and why we should all worship at the altar of Ryan Atwood as a boyfriend. Also, Sandy's pointless lies, Julie and Spencer are Newport's best Madams, Bullit is not getting laid but is a very good dad-figure to Kaitlin in the absence of Jimmy Cooper, and T to the T has a drunken meltdown that is awesome. Raquel and Krystal lay down the rules for butt sex, Krystal has a new podcast to promote, and we're ALMOST DONE WITH THIS RELATIONSHIP.

The O.C. S3 E21: The Dawn Patrol

In our 23rd episode, it's time for Summer to jump on the coffee cart while Seth acts like an idiot. Ryan has a New Mexico hookup while trying to solve his problems with his mom. Kiki is a very sweet mom to Ryan and Sandy is wrapped up in lots of boring things with Matt and Griffin that we're not interested in talking about.

The O.C. E2 E14: The Rainy Day Women

In our 22nd episode, we're talking more about Seth and Summer from The O.C. as they get back together and kiss upside down in the rain. Also, Raquel is high on cold medicine and deeply apologizes for all the sniffling, Krystal can never be wrong, Sandy and Kirsten are terrible and boring but we get to say goodbye to Lindsey and Rebecca!

The O.C. S1 E20: The Telenovela

In our 21st episode, back from the holiday hiatus, we're jumping on that coffee cart with Cohen as he pledges his undying love for Summer. Theresa returns and continues to be the worst, we meet her maybe-fiance Eddie, and Marissa is still the saddest girl on Planet Earth. It's the last time we'll see Anna for a while and we're a little sad because she was not awful in this episode. Sandy and Kirsten fall into Caleb's shenanigans and we don't care.

The O.C. S1 E19: The Heartbreak + Gilmore Girls Revival Recap

In our 20th episode, Raquel and Krystal spend the first hour on Seth and Summer as they embark on their very rapid first journey through their first sexual experiences together and really officially begin the relationship that we love so much. After that, the recap of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Netflix revival began and there's about 30 times the normal cursing out of Krystal. Raquel goes down the rabbit hole of why she sort of relates to Lorelai but not really and Krystal complains of a headache more than one. We laughed, we cried, we aren't sure this was really necessary. But hey, this episode is under 3 hours!

The O.C. S1 E6: The Girlfriend

In our 19th episode, Krystal and Raquel try to distract ourselves from the fact that the world is literally descending into chaos after the 2016 Presidential Election. Luckily we have hot, almost-grandmas whose age is mystifying to both of us, Ryan being molested by said grandma, Seth and Summer's first kiss, and Marissa and Luke's first time having sex. Also, Sandy temporarily loses his sainthood and is a total jackass. Keeks and Caleb have their weird father/daughter relationship and we see the beginnings of Cal + Julie as Julie and Jimmy fall apart even more. And Raquel only mentions blow jobs one time.

The Hunger Games: Katniss, Peeta, and Gale

Our Hunger Games episode proves that there's so little substance to these relationships, particularly Gale and Katniss, that we could discuss all four films in one podcast. Raquel and Krystal are Team Haymitch in the absence of a hot dad figure, although we're pro-Peeta for the most part as well. Gale is the worst, joining Dan and Dawson on our list of worst men to ever exist. And the thought of a dystopian future causes Krystal to implore people to vote so it's only fitting that this is being released in the early hours of Election Day.

The O.C. S1 E1: Pilot

We're kicking off our Seth and Summer coverage with the pilot episode of The O.C. Krystal defends her home turf and informs us that Chino isn't as bad as we all think it is (aka "it's not like it's Compton") and Raquel goes through her first episode without mentioning sex or blow jobs. We discuss why the Ryan and Seth hybrid is actually the best kind of man to be in a relationship with if we have to choose but honestly, both of us openly prefer Sandy Cohen. Oh and please weigh in on whether or not Krystal should come to Memphis for us to get matching podcast tattoos, everyone.

Dawson's Creek S6 E22: The Song Remains The Same

In episode sweet 16, Raquel and Krystal painfully cross the finish line of the Dawson and Joey ship, never to return again. Raquel finally shares a singular personal detail, while asking an even more personal question of Krystal and shocks literally every one who has ever listened by siding with Dawson over Joey. Krystal is more disappointed by a lack of food in one scene than she can care about the rest of this shit show / trainwreck relationship. And we share what's coming up next for the podcast!

Dawson's Creek S3 E22: The Anti-Prom

Our fifteenth episode, covering Dawson and Joey, on the penultimate episode of season three where the Dawson/Joey/Pacey love triangle is happening and Dawson is gross and pathetic throughout. Also, Raquel and Krystal's Brangelina + Jennifer Aniston hot takes and a discussion about what's coming up next!

Dawson's Creek S2 E20: Reunited

Raquel and Krystal discuss one of the only episodes where Dawson and Joey are actually happy and together. Mitch and Gale are in a weird separated dance, both literally and figuratively, while Andie rapidly loses her grip on reality and Pacey loses his grip on Andie. Sherry from Gilmore Girls shows up to nail another single WB dad, and Krystal and Raquel invent sexual insurance policies.

Dawson's Creek S2 E7: The All-Nighter

In lucky episode 13, Raquel and Krystal discuss how the writers of Dawson's Creek have clearly never heard of high school as this episode is rife with inaccuracies, no matter where you went to school. The world turns backwards on its axis as Raquel defends Dawson multiple times, while still remaining firmly in the camp that Joey should never date him again. Krystal clearly ships Pacey and Andie, and finally climbs aboard the Pacey-Is-Amazing train, of which Raquel is the conductor. Jen gets laid, and Dawson starts hallucinating the ghosts of precocious pre-teens past.

Dawson's Creek S2 E1: The Kiss

The season 2 premiere of Dawson's Creek, where Raquel and Krystal discuss Dawson and Joey and Joey's decision to be Lauren Conrad from The Hills. The girl that didn't go to Paris. Anyways. Pacey gets frosted tips and impersonates a police officer. Raquel gives out her usual life advice and does an extreme southern accent. Krystal says y'all and doesn't realize it and then talks about Tinder ghosting. Oh and Jen is absolutely awful.

Dawson's Creek S1 E13: Decisions

Raquel and Krystal discuss the season one finale of Dawson's Creek, in which Dawson and Joey play the final levels of this seasons very painful will they/won't they game and leave us with a cliffhanger ending. Among other things, the music choices for this episode leave Raquel with lack of an ability to even (as in she literally can't even). Krystal is still searching for the person on this show to impersonate but she does sing for about 2 seconds for all of us. Also, Raquel and Krystal break down definitively whether or not they consider themselves shippers.

Dawson's Creek S1 E12: Beauty Contest

Amid technical difficulties (Skype, you're a dirty bitch sometimes) and extreme sleep deprivation, Raquel and Krystal talk about the awakening of Dawson's attraction for Joey and how she rejects his pathetic too little, too late advance because she's wonderful. Pacey is amazing as always, Jen walks the line between girl friend and savage backstabbing bitch, and Raquel and Krystal both decide that they are critics of music and penis girth.

Dawson's Creek S1 E1: Pilot

Raquel and Krystal start down the path of breaking down the relationships in the late 90’s, starting with Joey Potter and Dawson Leery from Dawson’s Creek. Raquel hates Dawson with such a passion that she almost strokes out while recording while Krystal explains to all of us how to determine if you have a large penis based on your finger length. Raquel is batting for Team Pacey, even though that’s not the relationship even being covered right now while Krystal worships at the altar of Mitch Leery because she’s forever lusting after the hot TV and movie dads. And this show continues the tradition of allowing us to discuss a predatory teacher but with a surprise twist this time!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

After an accidental hiatus following the completion of Gossip Girl, Krystal and Raquel are back with a brief stop at the love triangle from the Twilight Saga. Raquel defends Team Edward on the path to Bella’s heart, while Krystal is on Team Jacob. We also try and count how many times a weird penis analogy or reference comes up in this movie obsessed with virginity. Hint- it’s a lot!

Gossip Girl S6 E10: New York, I Love You Xoxo

Raquel and Krystal discuss the wedding that took too long to happen and the marriage that should have been kid free a little longer in the last episode of our Chuck and Blair coverage. Raquel also proves that she's the Hermione Granger of this podcast with her bevy of stats while Krystal comes to terms with her life as a Blake Lively apologist. We both give Dan a break for the first time on this podcast but we eventually remember that he's the absolute worst and go back to our mantra of "Don't be Dan, Don't Date Dan."
